Haven’t been around much on the net for the last couple of years, but a lot has been going on in my life. To begin with, my best friend and flat mate has had cancer, fortunately currently in remission. Partly because of this, and partly because work has been difficult to come by because of the recession, the last year has been pretty tight financially, and looks like staying so for the foreseeable future. On top of that it looks almost certain that we will have to leave our home in the next couple of months, so we have to find a new apartment to rent (in Seville, Spain, so if anyone can help…).
At the same time I’m trying to find some new things to work at to supplement English teaching and occasional translating, while pursuing interests, probably non-profitable, in history and philosophy.
On my to do list is to write at least one blog post a week, which will help me to keep track of how I’m doing, and how I feel about it.

Well, hello again (-again)! I was pleasantly surprised to see a post from you pop up in my feed reader again. I hope the blogging business works out for you this time. It can be a very useful way to keep track of your thoughts.
And good luck with with the apartment- and income-hunting pursuits, as well.
